How the Institutional Coordinator of each Participating Institution nominates its student on the portal by 20 Nov 2026, and how the Nodal Officer of the State/UT selects the institutions and verifies the nominations. The screens named below are in English.

For the Institutional Coordinator of a Participating Institution

  1. Sign in Open Institution login and enter the e-mail address of the Institutional Coordinator or of the Head of the Institution given at registration. Type the six-digit code that the portal mails to you; it is valid for 15 minutes. There is no password.
  2. Check the status The institution's page shows the status of your institution. The assessment and the nomination open once the Nodal Institution has selected it as a Participating Institution.
  3. Assess your students Assess the interested students by 19 Nov 2026. To use the portal's online test, go to The online assessment of the portal, choose the days and the syllabus, press Switch on and give your students the link and the access code; their scores appear on the page, ranked, and Excel downloads them. You may also assess them in any other suitable mode.
  4. Select one student In Students who took the online assessment, press Select beside the student chosen on merit. For a student assessed in another way, fill in the student's name (in English letters), e-mail, mobile number, roll number, course and language under The selected student and press Select and send the registration link.

The student, or you with the student's details, completes the registration with Open the registration by 20 Nov 2026: a photograph, an ID proof, the nomination form signed and sealed by the Head of the Institution, and the details of the Faculty Supervisor/Guide.
  6. Confirmation Once the student has registered, the page shows the application number and its status, and you receive an e-mail. The Nodal Officer of your State/UT then verifies the application.
